Our Story

It started 16 years ago in a 1,000 square foot building running just two manual milling machines. President Thanh Ly had a vision. A vision for what could be, for how to get there, and the passion to sustain his idea and see it through.

After obtaining a master’s degree in Vietnam, Ly moved his family to the United States for more opportunity. His sights were set firmly on building a manufacturing technology company. Ly’s wife helped support the family while he completed machine technology school. In 1994, with financial support from his family and relatives, Ly acquired his first milling machine, and started TL Machine with brother’s Tuyen and Quang Ly.

Today, TL enjoys its strong customer relationships and continues to add innovation and high-quality machining to its 40,000 square-foot facility in Garden Grove. With over 70 employees, TL looks to the future with optimism and energy.
